Gulzar's Namkeen is a literal masterpiece .

Gulzar's Namkeen reminds of a social demograph partially realized in Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice . Struggle of three sisters to survive a living , struggle of a mother to protect daughters from their father takes a new interface as a truck driver moves in their home to stay . Movie boldly challenges patriarch social microstructure and more over excels qualitatively in portraying truck driver Sanjeev Kumar . Sacrifices and affairs in relationship has been portrayed with a typical yet stunning Gulzar's signature conflict .

The three sisters are shown pounding grain in the song and going about their work and singing this song with partly nonsense words. Gulzar additionally puts in the words pantaa bhate tattkaa baigun poraa, which geographically doesn’t make sense, since they are Bangla words of a brinjal dish. I have been told that it means “fresh eggplant roast in wet rice”.

Before I start putting the glances of god’s own country as they say ,that train journey extended over the span of 48 hours deserves a firm mention . The worst part of story was : no pantry car ,that simply means food was an issue and was like a setback to foodie people .People were racing between the halt time of train bringing something and something as its good to have something than nothing .And the best part of the story was : Chinua Acheyba . I was rushing through his cult classic magnum opus “ things fall apart ” till end of the journey before I completed it . And when ever I passed by a lingering line ,it was a time to take a break and discuss. "When the moon is shining the cripple becomes hungry for a walk."
