There are certain relationships which are written on sands.I personally feel I have many of that sort in my collection.
The first teacher i was chanced to come across must be my mom, to be precise "mummy" I call.Possibly it should have been my opportunity to get the best teacher to open the inning of academic career.Truth is rare people get a B.Ed post graduate to learn the abc of abc....
I feel that short span should be considered the most lovely, enthrilling and sweetest phase of my life. She is not the one teacher in the street who is concerned with the pros and cons of what to learn. Her class always started with why to learn and always concluded with how to learn. And the rest of the thing she used to leave up to me.
That short period of my life taught me many things beyond my academics.Even today when I take to pen and paper I do not eat any thing,...for she always underlined the tagline try to love your subject, try to respect your instrument.
But soon things changed. The day a catterpillar turns to butterfly ,it is put to the exposed firmament.
.............there are many more and many more are yet to come.
a reflection of that age old pious chanting
"Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu
Guru Devo Maheshwara
Guru Sakshat Param Brahma
Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah"

is seen in the famous statement of Lee Iacocca
"In a completely rational society, the best of us would be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something else."
Being the part of the rest who have to settle for something else, i have inculcated some cherished respect for my teachers of today and yesterday's.Of course they are the best of us ,giving and forgiving and we are the rest ,just getting yet forgetting.
This forth scheduled evening provides us to dig out the lost springs and summer ,to dig out the lost bells and sticks , and to dig out the lost sunny days that we spent together mimicing our teacher's baritone.
This forth scheduled evening is a thread of memorandum soaked in the ageless wine of philosophy that was interpreted as a cultural therapy by the great teacher Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
This forth scheduled evening is a serene moment of love and care that a teacher dictates to its taught ,and respect that a taught pays back.
More than a moment to celebrate the birthday of a teacher,it is and it should be considered as a moment of introspection: an introspection that talks about our behaviour and attitude towards our profesors,an introspection that talks beyond attendance sheet.
well before i bid a good night there is a welcome note to the readers.
lets join our hands together, lets hope for firmness in this joint and pay our respect to our teachers ,this forth scheduled evening.
